Sorbis is seeking a full-time, hybrid team member with some IT experience who is ready to take the next step in their technology career and grow with our company.

In this role, you will begin by assisting clients with user account administration in Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365, while supporting hardware and software quoting, purchasing, and project estimates alongside our Senior Systems Engineers.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on technical skills, learn from experienced IT professionals, and gain exposure to a variety of client environments and technologies. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, with a strong sense of ownership and a commitment to providing excellent client service.

Please note: This position participates in a rotating after-hours support schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What You Will Assist with on a Day to Day

• Create and update user accounts in Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft 365, following client requirements and Sorbis procedures.
• Configure email accounts, assign Microsoft 365 licenses, and manage distribution groups, shared mailbox access, email aliases, and forwarding.
• Assist with employee onboarding, account changes, password resets, and offboarding under team guidance.
• Document requests and completed work, and communicate clearly with clients and team members.
• Prepare quotes for basic technology purchases, including computers, monitors, accessories, software, and licenses.
• Coordinate hardware orders, vendor pricing, quote preparation and purchase tracking.
• Research product options, pricing, and availability, and confirm specifications with Senior Engineers.
• Work with senior Systems Engineers to gather hardware, software, and licensing information for project quotes.

What We Are Looking For

• An interest in technology and a desire to develop a career in IT.
• Basic familiarity with Windows, Microsoft Office, and email; exposure to Active Directory or Microsoft 365 is helpful.
• Strong attention to detail when working with accounts, permissions, licenses, and pricing.
• Clear communication, a customer service mindset, and the ability to follow instructions and ask questions.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage several requests and follow through.
• Some experience through an entry-level role, internship, coursework, certification study, or personal technology projects.

A degree or certification is not required. CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, as well as any Microsoft certifications, are a plus.
