Electrical Foreman

Electrical ForemanSuperior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted regional provider of skilled trade services supporting commercial new construction, tenant improvements, and electrical services for our clients. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to plan, coordinate, and supervise commercial electrical installations under the direction of project management. This is a working foreman role, leading journeymen and apprentices while ensuring all work meets NEC standards, productivity goals, and project deadlines. During periods between new construction project phases, the foreman will also support the service division by completing electrical service work orders as needed.The ideal candidate is a skilled electrician with a California Journeyman Electrician license and experience in retail electrical construction. This role requires flexibility in scheduling, including overnight shifts, and travel assignments.Scope of workSupervise the commercial production of electrical journeyman and apprenticesInterpret blueprints, schematics or plans and layout work for journeyman and apprenticesPerform tool-box talks and training to electrical apprentices and/or journeymanInstall commercial electrical equipment and fixturesInstall various types of conduit, raceway and cable tray systemsExperience with refrigeration motor control, Ansul Systems and EMS is preferredKnowledge of retail new construction and/or retail tenant improvement projects is desiredTroubleshoot motor control systemsMay be asked to work in confined spacesPerform work from ladders, man lifts and/or during inclement weatherCommunicate with project managers and safety teams regarding jobsite progressDemonstrate and enforce quality electrical journeyman installation and jobsite safetyRequirementsSix or more years of experience as a commercial electrical journeyman with a minimum of two years of foreman experience preferably from retail construction projectsAbove average troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsValid driver license with the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and a motor vehicle background checkStrong English literacy skills are required to effectively communicate with management via email, phoneMust be available to work nights or travel as neededAbout the CompanySuperior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service and construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical and plumbing solutions across California and other states.
