Assistant Nurse Manager

Position Overview Assistant Nurse Manager in the Neurosciences & Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) – D5N. Responsible for coordination, planning, administrative management, financial, and operational duties in collaboration with the Administrative Nursing Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Specialty Nursing Division. The role mentors professional caregivers in the delivery of patient care and facilitates patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay. Key Responsibilities Perform coordination, planning, administrative management, financial and operational duties in collaboration with senior nursing leadership. Mentor professional caregivers in delivery of patient care. Facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay. Provide visible leadership for direct patient care by specialty nursing unit staff on the assigned primary shift. Assure that competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings. Support development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs and services consistent with the hospital’s mission and the unit’s vision and philosophy. Provide direction and support to unit-based staff and collaborate with other service and department leaders toward the attainment of short‑ and long‑term goals and objectives.
