Critical Care Paramedic

About the Role:

The Critical Care Paramedic plays a vital role in providing advanced medical care to patients in critical condition during transport to healthcare facilities. This position requires a high level of expertise in emergency medical services, ensuring that patients receive the necessary interventions to stabilize their condition. The Critical Care Paramedic will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess patient needs and implement appropriate treatment protocols. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Paramedic with a focus on critical care.
• Completion of an accredited Critical Care Paramedic program.
• Valid state driver's license and clean driving record.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a critical care transport environment.
• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Additional certifications in trauma or emergency medicine (preferred).

Responsibilities:

• Provide advanced life support and critical care to patients in emergency situations.
• Assess patient conditions and implement appropriate treatment plans based on established protocols.
• Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care during transport.
• Document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner.
