Employees may be directed to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.Student-Athlete Academic SuccessPrioritizes, promotes, and actively supports student-athlete academic achievementAssists the head coach with managing all aspects of the student life sports athletic program, including monitoring academic success, retention, and graduation progress; implements action plans with the appropriate academic staff when necessaryFollows appropriate academic policies and effectively collaborates with the Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) and Academic Support Services to resolve conflictsCompetitive Success of SportIdentifies, evaluates, and recruits student-athletes for success at Lindenwood UniversityImparts to student-athletes the fundamental philosophy, skills, and knowledge essential to the sportProduces a high-performing team capable of meeting and maintaining competitive expectations as determined by the University athletic administrationActs in accordance with the athletic code of conduct and exhibits a professional and sportsman-like mannerAdministrationMaintains current knowledge of and adheres to the policies, procedures, bylaws, regulations, and rules of Lindenwood University, Intercollegiate Athletics, and the program’s governing bodyCompletes all program administrative responsibilities according to proceduresSupports the head coach by operating a fiscally responsible program; provides leadership for the team’s fundraising activities and program advancement initiativesProperly cares for, stores, distributes, and maintains a detailed inventory of team equipment, uniforms, and suppliesCommunication, Collaboration, and Q2 Service ExcellenceSupports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellenceModels, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity, and teamwork – and to Athletics values: responsible, original, all-encompassing, and relentlessPromotes and takes pride in the Athletics departmentAnticipates needs of students, colleagues, and administrators; takes ownership to respond promptlyCommunity Relations and EngagementEstablishes effective relationships with the community while positively representing the program, department, and UniversityCreates experiential learning opportunities for student-athletes by actively engaging or participating in campus and/or community outreach projects and eventsMaintains effective relationships with alumni and works to keep them engaged with the UniversityJob may require other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
