Job Summary Reporting to the Residual Value Risk National Manager, the person in this role will lead strategic and highly complex risk programs that drive substantive business change impacting TFS, Toyota, our dealers and ultimately our customers. Responsibilities Managing the setting of Residual Values for new Toyota and Lexus lease originations through in‑depth analysis of current and historical market actuals, vehicle content and lifecycle, competitive landscape, pricing, incentive spending, macro‑economic factors and more. Owning editorial and qualitative assessment of Toyota and Lexus vehicles and market conditions. Identifying trends, drivers, correlations, and explanations of residual/resale value performance and providing insightful perspective to diverse audiences (Executive, Field, Non‑Technical, Auditors, etc.). Consulting with Product, Pricing, and Incentives teams at Toyota and Lexus divisions to make recommendations on product content, packaging, pricing, incentive spending and other strategic initiatives to optimize residual value retention, profitability and incentive costs for new vehicles. Envisioning, designing, and managing strategic improvements to Residual Value setting and reporting processes, enhancing value, accuracy, repeatability, efficiency and automation in partnership with the Risk Forecast and Data Science Teams. Consulting with teams across the enterprise on ad‑hoc strategic projects as a Residual Value subject matter expert. Utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively understand and explain complicated technical issues to leadership. Managing team budget, resources and prioritization, target and goal achievement, and recruiting, retaining and developing department team members. What you bring 5+ years of relevant work experience in a similar field or industry. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Statistics, Economics or another math‑related degree. Expertise and insight on US auto market sales, products, vehicles and trends across OEMs and/or a passion for the industry and its products. Demonstrated experience with analysis tools (SQL, Python, Tableau or similar) and a high level of proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Coding and analytic abilities will be tested as part of the application process. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to quickly identify discrepancies in large, complex data sets, reports and presentations. Working knowledge of statistics and modeling techniques with experience identifying trends and indicators through quantitative and qualitative analysis. Added bonus if you have MBA or Master’s degree in an analytical field. 7+ years of relevant work experience in a similar field or industry. Proven experience leading large‑scale analytics projects. Previous experience in a role with significant exposure and interaction with residual values at an automotive OEM, captive finance company or auto‑industry consulting firm.
