Job DescriptionUnited States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for a Business Planner. We are looking for motivated self-starters that can work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, collaborative, and driven to improve business performance through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. The position offers exposure to manufacturing, supply chain management, commercial and logistics processes while developing future leadership capabilities. Responsibilities:Manages production scheduling of customer ordersMonitor and analyze work-in-process and finished goods inventory Cross-functional coordination with Operations, Quality, Logistics, and Commercial teams Generate routine and ad hoc reports supporting business planning and decision-making Interacts with and supervises salary union-represented personnelRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, accounting, finance, operations management or a related field0 to 2 years of related experienceOr an equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to work weekends, holidays and extended hours as necessaryAbility to travel to meetings, trainings, etc. as necessaryExcellent communications and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with various levels of managementExcellent planning and organization skillsComputer literacy to a working skills level-proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Manufacturing and operating experience preferredPreferred Skills: Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for your area of study A strong record of team, project and/or people leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activitiesA willingness to take initiative to understand the business An aptitude for problem solving; strong written and verbal communication skillsA strong commitment to excellence and to personal and professional growthMust be resourceful, responsible, tenacious, curious, independent, confident and high energy The ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksLeadership and strong decision-making skillsAbility to think and act both strategically and tactically Competency SummaryAt U.
