Information Technology Support Specialist

Kforce has a client in Tracy, CA that is seeking an Information Technology Support Specialist. Summary: This role provides Level 1 IT support for both corporate office employees and distribution center users. The ideal candidate will support daily IT operations, troubleshoot technical issues, assist with hardware/software requests, and escalate issues when appropriate. The position offers significant learning and growth opportunities for someone early in their IT career who is eager to develop technical and professional skills. Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 Help Desk and desktop support in a Windows environment
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, laptop, and user access issues
• Support corporate office employees and distribution center personnel
• Manage and resolve support tickets while maintaining strong communication with end users
• Escalate more complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed
• Assist with hardware deployments, laptop setups, and routine IT requests
• Maintain excellent customer service and follow-through on support requests
• Travel between Tracy and Emeryville locations as needed
• 0-2 years of IT support experience (internship experience acceptable)
• Self-starter who can work independently when needed
• Strong customer service mindset
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Coachable and receptive to feedback
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply feedback
• Genuine interest in technology and building a long-term IT career
• Comfortable working onsite five days per week
• Positive attitude and strong cultural fit

• Experience in a Windows environment
• Basic technical troubleshooting skills
• Prior help desk, desktop support, or internship experience
• Exposure to ticketing systems
• Experience supporting warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or retail environments
• Hardware setup and deployment experience
• Recent IT graduates, Year Up graduates, career changers, or individuals seeking their first formal IT opportunity
