Baylor Scott & White Medical Center is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Trauma Progressive Care Unit. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. Schedule: Full Time - Days and Nights available - 36 hours per week. Unit Summary: This is a 38-bed Telemetry Monitored Nursing Unit. Working on 5 North gives you the unique opportunity to work with both Adults and Geriatrics. Working on 5 North, you can expect your clinical skills to become greater than ever imagined due to the high acuity of patients and verities of scope which include: Post ICU Trauma patients (serious injury to 2 or more body systems) Traumatic Intra-Thoracic injury, intrabdominal injury, and complex fractures Traumatic Musculoskeletal Wounds Complex Cholecystectomy and Appendectomy Bariatric Surgery Colorectal Surgery (bowel malignancies, inflammatory bowel disease) Thoracic Surgeries- lobectomy, Esophagostomy Urology- Prostatectomy Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, General Surgery.

Requirements of the Ideal Candidate: Graduate of RN School of Nursing ADN required Active RN License Basic Life Support (BLS) Require or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer Qualifications Grad of an Accredited Program Specialized field of study should be nursing. RN license. Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
