Details Neuro ICU at a Certified Stroke Center Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 PM-6:45 AM) Patient ratio of 2:1 Every other weekend required Float required to other ICUs Block scheduling may be considered Involves EVD management, ventilator management, and stroke management Requirements Active RN license (OK State or Compact) required at time of consideration BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required in hand 1-2 years of Neuro ICU experience required Previous charge nurse experience preferred Trauma Level II experience preferred Epic charting experience preferred Skilled in arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and BiPAP/CPAP management Skilled in titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and continuous IV sedation Experience with CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, and post-craniotomy care Experience managing patients with traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury CRRT/CVVHD experience preferred Additional Information Coordinate nursing care based on established clinical practice standards Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessment Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with Board of Nursing regulations Conduct discharge planning and patient/family education First-time travelers considered for this role Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rate Former staff must have separated from permanent employment at least one year prior to applying as a traveler No travel pairs or groups accepted Up to 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved; no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID P-707920.
