Healthcare Security Officer-Hyde Park

Key Responsibilities: Maintain a professional, approachable presence while ensuring the integrity of security screening protocols. Assist hospital personnel and visitors with directions, information, and customer service support. Respond appropriately to system alerts and elevate concerns to hospital security leadership or law enforcement as needed. Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) documenting incidents, unusual activity, and security observations. Support hospital safety initiatives by monitoring entry points and controlling access to restricted areas. Maintain compliance with all client-specific and company operational procedures. Qualifications: *Vaccinations required** Licensing: Must possess a valid PERC (Permanent Employee Registration Card) issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Experience: Prior security or military experience preferred, but not required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations. Ability to stand for extended periods while monitoring security screening equipment.
