Skilled Laborer with Carpenter Helper & Forklift Operating Experience

Job Description

Craftsmen Contractors is seeking a Skilled Laborer with some carpentry and forklift operating experience for the River Ridge, La. area. This is for a commercial construction project working day shifts, Monday through Friday.

Pay is $18/hour.

Weekly pay by direct deposit.

Job Duties:

  • Perform basic construction, maintenance, and repair work 
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations 
  • Set up and breakdown of work areas 
  • Perform general clean-up and other assigned duties
  • Operate power and hand tools 
  • Assist Carpenters by preparing job sites
  • Measure and cut materials
  • Hold structural components in place
  • Load and unload materials 
  • Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods.
  • Follow safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Check that loads are centered and properly stacked.
  • Maintains a clean work area

Job Requirements:

  • Will need to have a minimum of 1 year of experience with forklift operating, carpentry, and working in construction.
  • Have all PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, hard hat, safety vest, and safety gloves).
  • Reliable transportation to make it to the job site
  • Follow safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Will need some basic hand tools for the job.
