Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor nurse position available in the area of Independence, Missouri. This role involves providing patient-centered care on a 36-bed unit specializing in medical surgical, oncology, and hospice patients, including stable cardiac monitoring cases. The assignment begins on 12/14/2026 and runs through 03/15/2027, with a schedule of nights shifts.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; no prior experience required; location in Missouri preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with wound vacs, drain removals, IV/PICC line insertions/removals, Foley, NG tube procedures, and familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
• Additional Information: The unit prescribes a team-oriented approach with a mix of RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and clinical coordinators, utilizing equipment such as I-med, I-mobile, Neurons vitals machines, glucometers, PCA, wound vacs, chest tubes, and surgical drains. Unit policies and guidelines should be attached with application.
