Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) for an ongoing locum tenens Urgent Care opportunity in Bullhead City, Arizona .

This is a true high-volume outpatient Urgent Care assignment for an experienced FNP who is comfortable moving efficiently through a busy clinical day while maintaining strong independent clinical judgment. Providers can expect approximately 40 patients per shift , supported by two Medical Assistants and dedicated office staff.

With no call, no admissions, scheduled clinical hours only, and an ongoing need with no defined end date , this opportunity offers the potential to build meaningful long-term locums coverage in western Arizona.

Practice Environment

This is a lean, fast-moving Urgent Care environment designed for providers who can independently manage a steady flow of outpatient presentations.

Current support includes:

• 2 Medical Assistants
• 2 Office Staff
• 6-Bed Department
• Athena EMR

There is no APP supervision responsibility and no resident or teaching supervision associated with the assignment.

Given the expected volume and staffing model, this opportunity is best suited for an experienced Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine FNP rather than a new graduate or provider accustomed to a lower-volume clinic environment.

Clinical Scope

Providers should be comfortable independently evaluating and treating the typical spectrum of outpatient Urgent Care presentations, including acute illnesses, minor injuries, and other episodic care appropriate for an Urgent Care setting.

The role requires efficient assessment, clinical decision-making, treatment, disposition, and documentation while maintaining patient flow across approximately 40 visits per shift.

Candidate Profile

• Family Nurse Practitioner
• Active Arizona license required for the fastest onboarding pathway
• Appropriate board certification
• BLS, ACLS
• Recent Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience strongly preferred
• Comfortable independently managing a high-volume patient load
• Strong clinical judgment and efficient documentation skills
• Able to work effectively with a lean clinical support team

This is not positioned as a new-graduate opportunity . Recent experience managing significant Urgent Care or Emergency Department volume is strongly preferred.
