Location Highlights Sterling, Illinois offers access to the Rock River and a practical small-city setting in northwestern Illinois. Sinnissippi Park and the Sterling Park District riverfront areas provide outdoor space along the Rock River, while Lowell Park in nearby Dixon is about 15 minutes away and features trails and limestone bluffs.
