1st Shift Material Handler

Job TitleChallenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidateJob DescriptionThe candidate would be responsible to manually by hand truck or fork lift, move incoming, in process and outbound product to designated areas in the plant or onto trucks in preparation for delivery. Must be able to operate in a safe and efficient manner and maintain a safe work environment at all times. Starts out at $20.19/hr and attendance incentive. Hours are 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday.ResponsibilitiesLoad or unload materials from or onto trucks, pallets or shelvesUnder direction of supervisor and others, associate is required to perform various material handling functions in the production plantWork safely and report any unsafe working conditions or practices to managementOther work assigned by management for business reasonsSuggests and assists in process improvements which assures safety, quality and efficiency is built into the processOther duties as assignedQualificationsMust have several years of fork lift experienceMust have good understanding of safe practicesMust have good organization and housekeeping skillsMust be detailed, conscientious, logical and understands the importance of qualityMust have complete understanding of the quality of finished product to meet the expectations of our customers as the candidate is responsible for the efficient and safe movement of raw materials and finished productMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds as heavy lifting may be required at timesMust align with the Snap-on mission statementMust wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable)Must adhere to safety guidelines
