We are hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to support a hospital in Memphis, TN. The RRT will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for patients with breathing disorders. Responsibilities include administering physician-prescribed respiratory treatments, operating and maintaining ventilatory and oxygen delivery equipment, performing suctioning, chest physiotherapy, arterial punctures, 12-lead EKGs, pulmonary function testing, and assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube care. The clinician will document therapy and patient response, communicate with physicians, perform CPR per BLS/ACLS guidelines, and participate in equipment maintenance and quality processes. The role requires floating within the market as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current state RRT license in good standing.
• Minimum one year of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with mechanical ventilation, both invasive and non-invasive, and set-up/self-test procedures on ventilatory equipment.
• Experience performing arterial blood gas sampling and analysis.
• Experience with suctioning techniques, tracheostomy care, and endotracheal tube management.
• Ability and willingness to float within the local market.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification preferred.
• Experience with capnography and oximetry monitoring preferred.
• Experience assisting with bronchoscopy, percutaneous tracheostomy, and chest tube procedures preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 3x12.
