Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This position involves providing nursing care to patients with varying diagnoses, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
• Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory including COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, and CV stepdown
• Specialty Equipment: Temp pacer, Chest tubes, A lines, Bipap, Neptune Vapo
• Ventilator Support: Yes - chronic ventilation for patients who are unable to wean, with respiratory therapy assistance
• Patient Demographics: 18 years and older
• Number of Beds: 64 beds with 15 designated for Neuro patients

Shift Information

Shift hours are from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed, and floating to other units may be required.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in New York
• AHA BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum two years of experience in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Documented travel experience in nursing settings
