Logistics Trainer-Groveport, Ohio

At Kuehne+Nagel, the Training Specialist plays a pivotal role in designing, managing, and optimizing training solutions for all KN employees, new hires, and contractor personnel across our contract logistics operation. Shift and Location Location: Groveport, Ohio. Shifts: 1st shift 6:00am–2:30pm, 2nd shift 2:30pm–11:00pm (Mon‑Fri). Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, organize, and conduct Basic Training for New Employees. Determine and implement training frequency through the QSHE Training Matrix. Maintain the QSHE Training Matrix and the branch KNPS “Skills Assessment.” Identify and evaluate training needs and goals. Ensure required and additional training documentation is recorded. Compile training statistics and reports for management. Assess and report on training effectiveness using company‑prescribed and best‑practice methods. Identify continuous improvement opportunities by comparing training effectiveness to processes. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA, DOT, and EPA. Qualifications High School Diploma required. Minimum 2 years of experience in providing, presenting, or managing training programs. Experience creating training presentations and materials. Conceptual knowledge of adult learning principles. Familiarity with Windows‑based order entry systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Basic computer skills. Experience with SAP or a warehouse management system (beneficial but not required). Problem‑solving skills. Ability to work overtime and on weekends as needed. Experience leading or supervising others. Fluent in English.
