Location Los Angeles Convention Center located in the heart of vibrant downtown LA, the Los Angeles Convention Center is a leading venue for conventions, trade shows, and exhibitions. SUMMARY The Operations Utility Worker is responsible to make general basic repairs and meet the minor maintenance needs of the Los Angeles Convention Center (LACC), that is not the traditional work of the Journeyman Building & Construction Trades workers listed above. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES surface preparation for paint general basic repairs such as restroom partitions toilet paper dispensers ceiling tiles water closets replacing electrical cover plates aerators repair baseboards reset pavers changing light bulbs fixing door handles hanging pictures frames mirrors security hangers moving equipment and furniture fixing small appliances replacing filters and batteries restocking trash removal spill clean-up maintaining back of house areas garages workstations and work areas QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND ABILITIES OTHER QUALIFICATIONS PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is typically low to moderate in office setting and moderate to high during events and around loud machinery. This is an onsite position that requires in-person collaboration with multiple departments and coverage of events from start to finish.
