Position Overview: As we expand, we're looking for a Embedded Software Engineer who is interest ed in solving challenging problems in Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (C-UAS) and Unmanned Aircraft System Traffic Management (UTM) through product development of high performance, embedded sensor software systems. Location: We do our best work together! This role is primarily onsite in Syracuse, NY, with some flexibility to work remotely when the role and schedule allow. Responsibilities: Contribute to the development of software components that advance our sensor's ability to: Detect and track new types of targets Process target data with high throughput and reliable performance Monitor performance and health metrics and autonomously recover from faults Interact with cloud-based systems and other network components Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, and implement features Develop performant software and improve the existing codebase as an individual contributor Participate in collaborative design and code reviews Document and clearly communicate designs to peers Test and validate implementations to ensure proper and bug free operation What We're Looking For: Self-motivated and goal-oriented individuals with the capacity to think creatively to overcome technical challenges Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering , or a Bachelor's Degree program in Computer or Electrical Engineering with a strong programming background Proficiency with Python Experience using and developing on Linux platforms Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency with or willingness to learn C++ Familiarity with Radar Systems, Communication Systems, and Signal Processing Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options. Salary Range: The salary range for this position is estimated at $85,000 to $90,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
