Job Description
Registered Nurse - ER Holding

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30).

Assignment Details

No block schedules; staffing ratios of 1:4.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia management.
• Ability to manage IV insulin & heparin protocols.
• Knowledge in renal failure management and cardiac & vasoactive drips (including titration).
• Experience in blood product administration, tracheostomy management, and rapid response team utilization.
• Proficient in wound care/wound vac management and non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen).
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the emergency department observation unit.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and conditions regularly.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Document patient assessments, care plans, and interventions accurately.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate actions.
