Pediatric Urgent Care Physician Locum Coverage

AnMed Medical Center is looking for a Pediatric Urgent Care Physician locum coverage for 2025. Job details include weekdays needed only, no weekend coverage required. The reason for coverage is short staffed with an average number of patients per day ranging from 20-40 depending on the season. There are nine exam rooms available and urgent care physicians are present during the locums coverage. The locum physician is required to supervise other health care providers. Mid-levels provide coverage. The documentation system/EMR is Epic. Pediatric procedures required include minor wound management and repair, incision and drainage of abscesses, extremity splinting, foreign body removal from skin, pelvic exam, and diagnostic testing. The facility will reimburse for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage billed at the IRS standard rate. All booking must be standard/economy. Lodging must be around per night. Anything beyond these parameters must be pre-approved. Credentialing timeframe is approximately 90-120 days for full privileges; temp privileges are available.

Submission requirements include board certification in the American Board of Pediatrics or The American Board of Osteopathic Medicine - Pediatrics, an active SC license and DEA, verbal confirmation required at name clear, a clean background with no exceptions, BLS and ACLS certification, and M-F availability. Certification requirements are board certified. State license requirements are South Carolina.
