About the Position

Job Title: CST/ORT Profession: CST/ORT Specialty: OR Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Friday to Sunday Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Required Certifications: None specified Must-Have: 2 years scrub or circulating experience Description: This is a backfill contract position for a CST in the OR. The position is for 13 weeks, working Friday to Sunday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. No on-call is required for this role. The candidate will be involved in general trauma, ortho trauma, vascular, neuro, or robotics procedures. The unit has 14 ORs, including 2 heart rooms and 1 hybrid room. There are 120 staff members in the unit. The typical day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 16 RNs, 16 technicians, and additional support staff. During night shifts, there are 2 RNs and 2 technicians. The standard patient ratio is 1 to 1. Available equipment includes surgical equipment such as robotics (Xi, SP, Mako, and DV5). Electronic medical records are managed through Meditech. This unit is recognized for excellence, having won the Unit of Distinction award three times. Candidates with experience in robotics, neuro, ortho, and trauma will be prioritized. Successful candidates will possess a flexible and positive attitude. Scrub color is ciel blue and will be provided. The unit provides a supportive and advanced work environment for staff. Considerable emphasis is placed on the latest technology and procedure techniques to ensure optimal patient care.
