Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Epic experience required License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required - AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required - AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employs independent judgment in patient care decisions. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implements the plan and coordinates care delivery. Employs strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient’s situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in delivering patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and families. Directly provides health information to patients and families. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties among healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients. Requires that all associates receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions applicable. Participates in E-Verify for employment eligibility verification.
