Referral Specialist

Job Summary

Our client seeks a Referral Specialist responsible for managing patient referrals and handling communication with referring doctors. The role involves scheduling appointments, maintaining patient data, and providing bilingual support.

Key Responsibilities

• Calling referred patients via email, fax, and phone.
• Follow-up with patients to schedule appointments.
• Communicating with the referring Doctor's office regarding mutual patients.
• Assisting with answering phones, scheduling appointments, and providing call center and front desk support as needed.
• Organizing interpreting for ASL patients.
• Managing, organizing, and maintaining patient data, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and legal requirements.
• Scanning, indexing, and retrieving electronic and paper records, managing data entry, and handling release-of-information requests.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• 1 year of experience in Patient Referrals.
• Basic knowledge of Insurance and Checkout procedures.

Skills

• Bilingual in Spanish.
• Basic knowledge of Insurance and Checkout procedures.
• Experience with new software or the ability to quickly learn a new referral system.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Knowledge of Checkout procedures and how referrals impact the full patient lifecycle.
