Clinical Educator

Position Summary: The Clinical Educator provides leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of clinical education and training programs across PanCare of Florida, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This role ensures that all clinical staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The Clinical Educator collaborates with executive leadership, clinical operations, and quality teams to support workforce development, promote evidence-based practice, and advance PanCare's mission to provide a comprehensive system of accessible, community-based healthcare services delivered with dignity and respect. - Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive onboarding and orientation programs for RNs, LPNs, MAs, and other clinical staff.
- Design and deliver ongoing education, skills validation, and competency-based training programs aligned with FQHC/HRSA requirements and evidence-based practices.
- Maintain annual training plans and competency assessments for all clinical roles.
- Utilize adult learning principles and a variety of teaching methods (in-person, virtual, simulation, and e-learning).
- Support HRSA Operational Site Visits (OSVs), audits, and accreditation surveys through staff readiness and training documentation.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and workplace safety training requirements.
- Ensure all clinical education programs align with Health Resources and Services
Quality Improvement & Patient Safety
- Partner with Quality and Compliance teams to align education with performance improvement initiatives (e.g., UDS, HEDIS, CQMs).
- Identify clinical knowledge gaps and develop targeted education plans to improve patient outcomes.
- Participate in root cause analyses, adverse event reviews, and implementation of corrective action plans.
- Promote evidence-based clinical practices and standardized workflows across all clinical sites.
- Support implementation of care models such as Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH).
- Provide education on chronic disease management, care coordination, infection control, and medication safety.
- Serve as a mentor and resource for clinical staff, fostering professional growth and clinical excellence.
- Support leadership in succession planning and career pathway development.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, preceptorship programs, and ongoing staff competency validation.
- Collaborate with leadership on retention strategies through professional development initiatives.
- Provide training and support for EHR use (eClinicalWorks preferred), ensuring accurate and compliant documentation.
- Develop training materials, job aids, and competency checklists for clinical workflows and systems.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to assess training needs across all PanCare sites.
- Evaluate effectiveness of training programs through metrics, feedback, and performance outcomes.
- Travel between clinical sites as needed to support training and education initiatives.

- Assist in policy development and ensure adherence to electronic health record (EHR) documentation standards.

- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of FQHC operations, HRSA compliance, and Florida-specific healthcare regulations preferred.
- Experience with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred).
- Experience in community health, public health, or underserved settings preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) preferred but not required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license, as travel between PanCare clinical sites is required.
- Regular, predictable on-site attendance.
- Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of Florida.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN);Master's degree in nursing(MSN), Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably (primary care or ambulatory care)
- Prior experience in staff education, training, or preceptorship strongly preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent standing, walking, and moving between clinical areas.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving objects up to 25 pounds (e.g., supplies, charts, equipment)
- Manual dexterity required for typing, operating medical equipment, and handling instruments.
- Visual and auditory acuity required to observe patients, read medical records, and communicate effectively with staff and patients
- Must be able to respond quickly to emergency situations in clinical settings.
