President and CEO

the client is seeking a reliable, adaptable, and resilient leader for the President and CEO role. The client serves as the destination marketing organization for the Pensacola Bay Area, representing the region and supporting visitor inspiration and the local hospitality community. Reporting to and working closely with the Board, the President and CEO directs and leads the destination organization toward its mission of supporting the community vision for tourism by building tourism as an economic engine. This role provides central organizational leadership, develops and advances policy and strategy in partnership with the Board, and helps drive the organization’s tourism-focused objectives through destination marketing and related community support. The client is a not-for-profit destination marketing organization operating with a professional staff and an 11-member Board of Directors. The organization is primarily funded through a tourist development tax and a smaller portion from outside private revenue, and it is governed by a Board structure with members elected by the membership. The President and CEO will lead the organization in alignment with its governance and funding model.
