Temp to hire $20 - $24/hr Hours: 6am 4pm with a 1 hour lunch Mon Thurs and 6am to 10am on Friday
Major Duties/Functions
- Perform welding tasks in the manufacture of products to conform with specifications and certification requirements
- Weld production and more difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts in various materials including stainless steel, precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and/or MIG
- May operate program welding machine to weld production units
- Set up fixtures and lay out work for production and prototype piece parts
- Trouble shoot problem welding areas
- May train other welders and/or provide welding support to others as needed
- May work with various internal departments to establish welding process parameters
- Welds must pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product
- Participate in continuous improvement processes
- Recommend changes to and participate in the review of manufacturing procedures
- Perform daily organization and cleanup of work area
- Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision
- Perform work of a miscellaneous nature as required
Welding Test: The Test: 1G open root on 3 sch. 80 316ss (Minimum). If candidate passes this test we will move to 6G Growth: 6G proficiency will be required in the future
