Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students near Boston, MA as a school-based Physical Therapist. This flexible position is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young adults in special education programs. You’ll work with students aged kindergarten through 22, addressing a diverse range of diagnoses and abilities in a fully onsite role. The school offers considerable flexibility, allowing you to work full-time or part-time with schedules that can be customized between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Physical Therapy license required
- Special education and prior school-based experience strongly preferred
- Ability to adapt interventions to support a variety of student needs
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver therapy services to students to support their access to education and overall functional skills
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists to support student progress
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with school procedures
- Participate in IEP meetings as needed and provide consultative support
- Foster an inclusive and empowering environment for students of varying abilities
