About the Position

Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Driver's license required Certifications: BLS, ARRT, ARDMS Must-Have: - Ultrasound certificate - ARRT certification - BLS certification - ARDMS certification Description: Ultrasound technicians are responsible for performing general ultrasound examinations on both adults and pediatrics. The department has two ultrasound rooms dedicated solely to general ultrasound imaging. There is no vascular or echocardiography work involved. Technicians will also participate in biopsies as part of their duties. Shifts are scheduled from 8 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. On-call responsibilities include one weekday night per week and every fourth weekend. All technicians will report to a supervisor on each shift. Fingernail policy must be adhered to, as artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC, and PACS is McKesson. Required certifications include BLS, ARRT, and ARDMS. Candidates must reside outside a specified radius from recent facilities or have not worked as full-time, part-time, or PRN within the past year. Additional time off requests beyond initial submissions will not be approved. The facility has a Trauma Level 3 care setting.
