Pay Range: $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Job Summary

AJM Cleaning Services, LLC is seeking a dependable Commercial Cleaner & Window Cleaning Technician who can perform commercial janitorial cleaning, commercial and residential window cleaning, and related support duties.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, driving to different customer locations, safely using ladders, and performing both routine cleaning and window-cleaning services. This position will help AJM keep commercial accounts and window-cleaning accounts caught up while allowing the owner to focus on managing and growing the business.

Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesCommercial Cleaning

• Perform scheduled janitorial cleaning for AJM commercial customers.

• Clean offices, restrooms, floors, common areas, and other assigned areas.

• Follow customer-specific cleaning instructions and AJM Cleaning Services procedures.

• Make sure assigned commercial accounts are completed on schedule and do not fall behind.

• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and appropriately.

• Follow applicable SDS and chemical-safety procedures.

• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous customer service.

Window Cleaning

• Perform interior and exterior window cleaning for commercial customers.

• Perform residential window-cleaning services as assigned.

• Clean glass, frames, sills, and other applicable window surfaces.

• Safely use ladders and window-cleaning equipment.

• Inspect completed window work to ensure it meets AJM's quality standards.

• Help keep commercial window accounts caught up according to their scheduled service frequency.

• Transport window-cleaning equipment and supplies to customer locations.

Vehicle and Transportation

• Drive to commercial and residential customer locations.

• Transport cleaning and window-cleaning equipment safely.

• The employee should have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

• A suitable vehicle capable of transporting ladders and window-cleaning equipment is preferred.

Mop Head and Cleaning Material Laundry

• Collect used mop heads and microfiber materials from designated AJM accounts.

• Transport dirty mop heads and microfiber materials to the approved laundry location.

• Wash and dry mop heads and microfiber materials at home or another AJM-approved location.

• Use appropriate detergent and washing procedures to ensure cleaning materials are properly cleaned.

• Keep dirty and clean cleaning materials separated.

• Fold, organize, and return clean mop heads and microfiber materials for future use.

• Report damaged, worn, or unusable cleaning materials to the owner.

• Complete laundry responsibilities on the schedule established by AJM Cleaning Services.

Example Work Activities

An employee may begin the day by completing a scheduled commercial cleaning account. The employee may then travel to another customer location to perform interior and exterior window cleaning. Later, the employee may pick up used mop heads and microfiber materials, transport them home, wash and dry them, and return the clean materials for use at AJM customer accounts.

The employee may also be assigned residential window-cleaning jobs during periods when commercial window work is lighter.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Reliable and dependable.

• Able to work independently with limited supervision.

• Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred.

• Previous window-cleaning experience preferred but training may be provided to the right candidate.

• Comfortable safely working on ladders.

• Able to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks.

• Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and lift cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Comfortable traveling between customer locations.

• Good attention to detail.

• Professional and respectful when interacting with customers.

• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Able to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Willing to take responsibility for completing assigned work on schedule.

• Can Fit ladder in vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial janitorial experience.

• Residential or commercial window-cleaning experience.

• Ladder experience.

• Experience using professional window-cleaning equipment.

• Ability to work independently.

• Reliable vehicle capable of transporting cleaning equipment and, when needed, ladders.

• Experience laundering commercial mop heads or microfiber materials.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.

• Bend, kneel, reach, and lift.

• Lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Safely climb and work from ladders when assigned.

• Perform repetitive cleaning movements.

• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when performing window services.

Position Goal

The goal of this position is to provide AJM Cleaning Services with a dependable employee who can handle commercial cleaning, commercial and residential window cleaning, and mop-head laundry responsibilities .

This position will allow AJM Cleaning Services to maintain consistent service for existing customers while reducing the owner's need to personally perform every cleaning and window job. The position can also support the company's future growth by allowing AJM to accept additional commercial and residential window-cleaning work.

Compensation

Starting Pay: $18–$20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional compensation or a laundry allowance may be provided for regular responsibility for laundering AJM Cleaning Services' mop heads and microfiber materials at home.

Employees who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, independent work ability, window-cleaning skills, and safe ladder operation may be considered for increased compensation and additional responsibilities.
