Casa Oaxaca is bringing the bold flavors, vibrant culture, and rich traditions of Oaxaca, Mexico, to New York City — and we're looking for polished, charismatic, and energetic Hosts and Hostesses to be the first impression of an unforgettable dining experience!

At Casa Oaxaca, hospitality begins long before the first cocktail is poured or the first dish reaches the table.

We're not looking for someone who simply greets guests and manages reservations. We're looking for hospitality professionals who can command a room with confidence, make every guest feel like a VIP, and turn a warm welcome into a lasting impression.

• Welcome every guest with warmth, confidence, and genuine hospitality.

• Manage reservations, seating arrangements, waitlists, and guest flow to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

• Create a seamless arrival and departure experience for every guest.

• Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and management to maintain efficient seating rotation and service standards.

• Answer incoming calls and respond professionally to reservation inquiries and guest requests.

• Recognize VIPs, regulars, and special occasions to deliver personalized hospitality.

• Maintain an organized, polished, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.

• Communicate accurate wait times while managing guest expectations with professionalism and grace.

• Handle guest concerns with discretion, confidence, and a solutions-oriented attitude.

• Support the management team in maintaining an exceptional guest experience from beginning to end.

• Minimum 1–2 years of hosting experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.

• A warm, engaging personality with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• A polished, professional presence and genuine passion for hospitality.

• Experience with restaurant reservation platforms such as OpenTable or Resy is a plus.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Confidence in managing busy dining rooms, reservations, and guest expectations.

• Excellent judgment, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• A team-first mentality with the ability to remain composed under pressure.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
