Job Title

To be fully engaged in providing Uncompromised Safety, Superior Quality, Memorable Patient/Customer Experiences and Financial Stewardship as the custodian of all keys issued throughout Health First.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Watches for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Is the custodian of all electronic access key locks/pads and warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles.
• Develops and maintains an accurate inventory database of all issued keys.
• Observes departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate requirements.
• Develops and maintains an accurate inventory database of all electronic access codes issued.
• Provides assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Receives electronic key requests and completes requests in a timely manner.
• Responsible contact person when keys are issued and returned.
• Maintains accurate recordkeeping for the key requests and receipts.
• Performs other duties as requested by Director of Security or his/her designee.

Work Experience:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Trade School or High School Diploma.
• Work Experience:
• Minimum two (2) years of on-the-job training.
• One (1) year in basic locksmith services.
• Licensure: Valid Drivers License and clean Motor Vehicle Report and maintained.
• Certification: At least one (1) of the following certifications within thirty (30) days of start date:
• American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course OR
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Active listening skills.
• Familiarity with one or more of the following systems:
• Hubman software,
• Alarm Lock software,
• Trilogy Cipher Locks,
• LS Cipher
• Locks, or Best Cipher and Locking Systems
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
• Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
• Attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically agile; may require walking, standing, running, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, or crouching frequently.
• May occasionally include lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.
• May require moving in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, including reaching out and above shoulders, or overhead.
• May lift, turn, pull, push, or ambulate people and/or equipment with or without assistance up to 90% of the assigned shift.
• May be exposed to inside and outside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting, and/or low to loud noise.
• May require working with biohazards such as blood/body fluids and airborne particles following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
• Communicating with others to exchange information.
• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
• Workspace may vary from open to confined.
• May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
