WelderReports To: Manufacturing ManagerFLSA Classification: Non ExemptDepartment: ManufacturingPosition Summary: This position will perform manufacturing duties with a particular expertise in welding operations.Essential Functions:Perform Welding Operations:Manufacture product that meets quality requirements. Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection.Meet time and schedule standards for assigned taskKeep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levelsUse Tig welder to assemble fabricated metal products in an efficient manner to maximize productionAssemble, hold to tolerance and manufacture product that meets quality requirements, inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspectionReturn all fixtures and tooling upon job completionAdvise supervision of issues that ariseMake routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistanceCommunicate effectively with other workers to direct personal workflowIdentify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to proper 6s team leadProperly use the E2 management system to meet all company standardsAdditional Responsibilities:Assume other responsibilities as requiredPrimary Performance Parameters:Meet the required delivery dates for all assigned jobsMeet customer delivery requirementsMeet quality requirements of all assigned processesConduct all operations in a safe mannerQualifications Required:Ability to weld thin gage material with a good penetration and a quality appearanceAbility to operate a Tig welder with Mig welding knowledgeBasic math skillsAbility to operate various shop tools including hand tool and rollsAbility to read & understand blueprints and technical documents commensurate with machine operationA genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and cultureOrganizational and time management skillsSelf starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independentlyExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to use various inspection gagesBasic computer knowledgeExperience/Education Required:Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentCertification/License Required:Valid Driver's LicensePhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
