Position Title: Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 06:45 - 19:15

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive cardiopulmonary services to both inpatients and outpatients, following established protocols and procedures. This role requires the ability to perform various diagnostic and therapeutic tasks critical to the care of patients with respiratory issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas.
• Maintain airways and manage ventilator settings.
• Perform the insertion of arterial lines and intubations.
• Conduct pulmonary function studies and cardiac/pulmonary stress tests.
• Collect and analyze blood gas samples.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist, including intubation experience.
• Current certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care as RRT or CRT.
• Active Illinois Respiratory Therapy license.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association.
