Sales Representative

Midwest Bus Sales Inc

We are seeking a relationship-driven Outside Sales professional to serve as a trusted transportation advisor to school districts and fleet managers throughout Western Missouri and the Kansas City Metro area. This role is much more than traditional salesyou will spend significant time in the field meeting customers, understanding their needs, solving problems, and earning business through trust rather than high-pressure sales tactics.

The ideal candidate understands that school bus sales are built on long-term relationships and values reliability, service, credibility, and responsiveness. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, organized, mechanically curious, and comfortable managing a large geographic territory independently. Candidates may reside in Western Missouri, including Columbia or Springfield, or within the Kansas City Metro area.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude or commercial vehicle experience preferred.
• Experience selling commercial trucks, buses, heavy equipment, or fleet vehicles is highly desirable.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage a large geographic territory.
• Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout Western Missouri, with occasional overnight travel.
• CDL or willingness to obtain one is a plus.
• Highly competitive without being pushy.
• Honest, dependable, responsive, and accountable.
• Comfortable communicating with everyone from mechanics to school superintendents.
• Organized and disciplined.
• Curious and mechanically inclined.
• Patient and comfortable managing sales cycles that may last months or even years.

Compensation

• $70,000 base salary plus commission.
• Unlimited earning potential.
