OB/GYN Physician - Full-Time

Mount Pleasant, Michigan

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate OB/GYN Physician to join a growing multidisciplinary healthcare team in Mount Pleasant, MI. The physician will provide comprehensive women's healthcare services including preventive care, prenatal care, labor and delivery, gynecologic procedures, and surgical interventions.

This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care, inpatient OB coverage, and operating room procedures within a collaborative and patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care including:

  • Preventive women's health services

  • Prenatal, labor & delivery, and postpartum care

  • Diagnosis and treatment of reproductive health conditions

  • Menstrual disorders, menopause management, STI treatment, and contraception counseling

• Perform in-office procedures including:

  • Pap smears

  • Pelvic and breast exams

  • Colposcopies

  • IUD placements/removals

  • Biopsies

• Perform surgical procedures such as:

  • Cesarean sections

  • Hysterectomies

  • Laparoscopic procedures

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure quality patient care

• Maintain timely and accurate medical documentation

• Participate in on-call coverage and hospital rounds

• Educate and counsel patients regarding reproductive and preventive healthcare

• Utilize telehealth services when appropriate

• Participate in quality improvement and risk management initiatives

Schedule & Call

• Typically 4 clinic days per week

• 1 operating room/procedure day per week

• Shared call rotation currently 1:4, expected to become 1:5 with new provider

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in OB/GYN

• Active and unrestricted Michigan medical license (or willing to obtain)

• Active DEA and controlled substance license

• NRP Certification required

• Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges

• New graduates are welcome to apply

Practice Setting

• Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital coverage

• Adult female patient population (18+)

• Collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare environment
