Job Title: Welder and Fabricator

This role focuses on laying out, fitting, and preparing pipe systems and fixtures for fluid processing machinery, followed by high-quality welding from detailed blueprints with weld symbols. You will primarily perform pipe welding using Pulse MIG and TIG processes on a variety of metals and projects, including work on larger fluid processing units and pressure vessels that require precise welding and testing capabilities.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in TIG welding on pipe, with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds.
• Strong skills in Pulse MIG welding on pipe, including both root and cover passes.
• Experience with stick welding as part of broader welding capabilities.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols accurately.
• Hands-on experience in pipe welding, including 6G position work on various pipe schedules.
• Fabrication and fitting skills for pipe systems and related assemblies.
• Capability to perform pressure vessel welding and support associated testing.
• Ability to pass three weld tests on day one: 6G 2" Schedule 80 pipe with backing ring using MIG root fill and Pulse MIG cover; 6G 2" Schedule 80 pipe Pulse MIG open root with TIG root fill and cover; 6G 2" Schedule 160 pipe with TIG root, TIG fill, and TIG gap.

This is a Permanent position based out of Pittsburgh, PA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
