Various positions | First Solar | OH, AL, LA, SC, United States Technician- Automation I (A Crew) OH, United States The following is an entry level Automation Technician controls position were a successful candidate will be required to support manufacturing operations, assist with equipment implementation/startup, , PLC/HMI programing, and trouble-shooting/optimization of manufacturing processes control systems. This position directly supports a manufacturing site, the successful candidate will be assigned to a manufacturing schedule on either AM or PM crew/shift. AM shift is 6:00AM – 6:10PM. PM shift is 6:00PM – 6:10AM. This results in a rotating 36/48 hour work week schedule, which includes working every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Specialist- Workforce Development I USA Trinity, AL, United States The Workforce Development Specialist I is an entry level position. This is an individual contributor position on a team responsible for implementing project tasks and activities required for the workforce recruitment, training, and development of the production operations and maintenance associates. It is expected the associate is passionate about education and development of people and committed to the continued development of the First Solar training program. The associate is expected to continue their own development on training solutions along with improving on problem solving and analytical skills. The position will have responsibility as a Team Member in the creation of high quality training content, onboarding new associates, working with production leadership on the delivery and validation of training (a majority of which is on-the-job or classroom based). The Specialist I is to have good interpersonal skills in collaborating cross functionally to deliver training programs in all aspects of work (safety, quality, technical, problem solving, and leadership). Ensures all human resources functions and activities run effectively and efficiently and in accordance with First Solar’s Code of Conduct, Behaviors & Core Values. Carries out responsibilities across the HR generalist spectrum, including the following functional areas: recruiting, employee relations, transaction preparation & processing, process and procedure development and interpretation, benefits, training & communication. Oversees’ and directs the work of reporting HR staff and encourages the development of the HR staff. Developer I- MES USA (1st Shift) Gaffney, SC, United States Design, Develop, Test and Implement Manufacturing Software System. Works with the MES architect to ensure solutions integrate seamlessly with the MES hardware and software systems to support enterprise design goals. Provides support for First Solar’s Manufacturing Systems, R&D, and Quality systems and data architectures. Manager- Shift USA (B Crew/ PM Shift) Gaffney, SC, United States The Shift Manager controls the plant floor, prioritizing resources to optimize safety, quality, and throughput. This position is ultimately responsible for all scheduling, system and process improvements, and labor management. Engineer- Equipment I USA (1st Shift) United States Provide technical and professional leadership to the maintenance team and manage the engineering aspect of the maintenance process. Use necessary engineering tools and programs to drive improvements and rate the effectiveness of repair works. Maintain preventive maintenance (PM) records and other pertinent data that is deemed necessary to do a complete job. Publish information that has been reviewed, in a report format, on a routine basis. Work on cross functional teams to improve Throughput.
