Principal Engineer

Network Infrastructure ArchitectThis role involves designing and implementing advanced network infrastructures to support enterprise-level operations. The candidate will provide technical leadership in routing, switching, load balancing, and application delivery, ensuring high performance, availability, and security. Focused on modernization initiatives, they will collaborate across teams to drive strategic improvements and oversee complex network migration and transformation projects.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and design high-performance, highly available network solutions utilizing Arista, Cisco, and F5 platforms.Serve as the escalation point for advanced network and application delivery issues.Develop and implement Layer 2–Layer 7 solutions, including routing, traffic engineering, and application delivery strategies.Lead network modernization efforts, including automation, infrastructure as code, and observability enhancements.Establish operational standards, reference architectures, and best practices for network management.Collaborate with security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to ensure secure, scalable network design.Evaluate emerging networking technologies and recommend adoption strategies.Manage large-scale network migrations, upgrades, and data center transformations.Mentor senior and mid-level engineers on troubleshooting, design, and operational best practices.Participate in architectural review boards and strategic planning initiatives.Qualifications10+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure architecture.Expertise in Arista EOS, Cisco routing and switching, and F5 BIG-IP platforms.Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and advanced routing design.Experience with spine-leaf and modern data center architectures, VXLAN/EVPN overlays, and high availability setups.Strong troubleshooting skills in multi-vendor network environments.Proven ability to design large-scale enterprise and service provider networks.Excellent documentation and architectural design skills.This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance.
