Job Title PD Nutritionist Location Saint Barnabas Behavioral Health, 1691 U.S. Highway 9, Toms River, NJ 08755 Status Per Diem (Hourly) – Day Shift Pay Range $33.29 - $42.60 per hour (New Jersey) The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview Registered Dietitian (RD) responsible for providing optimal nutrition services as an integral part of the healthcare system and within the local community. Qualifications B.S. or advanced degree with major studies in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics One (1) year clinical experience Certifications and Licenses Required Registered Dietitian (RD) or A.D.A. membership with eligibility for registration Scheduling Requirements Per Diem (PD) Essential Functions Identify patient educational needs Instruct patients/families on appropriate diet therapy Participate in interdisciplinary patient teaching process Document all pertinent information in the patient’s medical record Confere with physicians, nursing and case management regarding total patient care Follow standard practices and comply with regulatory requirements Help plan and implement nutrition projects for the community through services such as speaking engagements and classes Perform assigned meal rounds and make appropriate suggestions for correction of patient problems Review medical records, assess patient needs, and implement appropriate nutritional care plan for optimal care Provide a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service Conduct in‑service sessions for hospital personnel Attend patient care conferences Benefits and Perks At RWJBarnabas Health, our market‑competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support employees’ physical, emotional, social and financial health.
