This facility is a leading pediatric and women's health center in Central Louisiana, featuring a 34-bed Level III NICU equipped to handle a wide range of acuity and case complexity. The facility supports approximately 1,500-2,000 annual deliveries and offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment with 24/7 in-house NNP coverage and a dedicated neonatal transport team.

Job Details:

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a 34-bed Level III NICU with a wide range of acuity and case complexity
• Collaborate within a 2 Neonatologist and 4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) team model
• Conduct daily neonatal rounds and manage patient care plans
• Oversee and support 24/7 in-house NNP coverage
• Participate in home call coverage after completing daily rounds
• Manage newborn nursery rounds as part of patient care responsibilities
• Support approximately 1,500-2,000 annual deliveries
• Provide coverage for in-house patients while NNP-led transport team manages neonatal transports
• Deliver care aligned with evidence-based protocols and quality improvement initiatives
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams in a collegial and supportive clinical environment
• Contribute to ongoing clinical excellence and neonatal care advancements
• Structured 7-on/7-off schedule promoting strong work-life balance
• Full-time, permanent position requiring residency within the immediate local area
• Must be Board Certified in Pediatrics and Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neonatology
• Active Louisiana Medical License required or willingness to obtain
