About the Position

Job Title: X-Ray Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (Friday - Sunday) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: ARRT (R) required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - Must have OR/C-arm experience Description: Hiring Process includes a profile review and an interview with the unit manager. The department has 3 X-ray rooms and 5 portable units. Radiologic Technologists may need to float to a pain clinic as needed. Common types of imaging performed include OR, portables, and outpatient exams. The average number of scans/studies performed per day ranges from 20 to 30. The department uses EMR and PACS, specifically Epic and PACS software. Equipment includes Siemens rooms, Shimadzu, and Carestream portables. The Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech will provide on-the-job support. Radiologists are available in-house for interventional procedures. There is no requirement to start IVs. Shifts are not self-scheduled; block scheduling is implemented. Call is required with a specified response time. The dress code requires royal blue or OR scrubs provided by the facility. The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment. Charting is conducted within the EPIC system. This position does not require a BSN. The care setting is acute.
