Candidates should be team players with strong communication skills and the ability to manage a kitchen environment. Responsibilities Ensure that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies. Assist in standardizing the method in which work will be accomplished and that meals are served on time. Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus, adhering to all sanitary regulations. Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance. Prepare food with standardized recipes and adhere to special diet orders. Prepare evening snacks and substitute meals for residents who prefer other food. Work with other departments as necessary in relation to food service needs. Assist management with ordering of food and supplies. Assist in inventorying and storing food and supplies. Work closely with residents. Desired Qualities A passion for cooking Flexibility – able to be flexible with personal scheduling/program scheduling Good interpersonal and strong communication skills Problem‑solving Organized Strong time managementResponsible/Trustworthy Schedule We seek candidates with open availability who can work flexible hours. Both part‑time and full‑time positions are available. Experience Minimum of two (2) years experience in an institutional food service environment, or enrollment in culinary program and strong desire to learn. Experience in catering and/or an assisted living, long‑term care, hospital or other health care environment preferred. Other Requirements Driver’s license Serve Safe Certified Team Player Works well as a member of a group. Detail Oriented Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well. Dedicated Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity.
