Are you looking for a litigation role where you'll gain real courtroom experience, work directly with clients, and continue building your skills alongside experienced trial attorneys?
A respected Kansas City law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing practice. This is an opportunity to handle meaningful work from day one while receiving the mentorship and support needed to continue developing as a litigator.
Unlike many firms where associates spend years focused primarily on research and document review, this role offers hands-on involvement in every stage of the litigation process and increasing responsibility as your experience grows.
What You'll Do
- Handle a variety of civil and business litigation matters
- Participate in case strategy and client counseling
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other pleadings
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
- Work directly with clients and opposing counsel
- Collaborate closely with experienced litigators and trial attorneys

Qualifications
- 2+ years of litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Desire to continue developing as a litigator
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law
