Tech - IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:
The Imaging Support Tech in IR/Special Procedures provides vital imaging assistance in the operating room, specifically supporting Vascular Interventional Radiology cases. This role involves ensuring high-quality imaging support, adhering to safety standards, and working closely with the surgical team to facilitate successful procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Support vascular IR procedures by operating imaging equipment and ensuring clear visualization.

• Maintain safety and infection control standards in the operating room environment.

• Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to prepare equipment and assist during procedures.

• Complete required documentation and verify compliance with facility policies and licensing requirements.

• Adapt to rotating shifts and be available for call rotation every 4th week.

• Follow travel and float policies as specified, maintaining flexibility within scope of practice.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT certification and current BLS certification.

• Possess an active VA license or demonstrate eligibility for temporary licensure.

• Demonstrate at least 1 year of experience supporting IR or special procedures imaging.

• Be able to work 8-hour shifts, primarily weekdays, with rotating call responsibilities.

• Show understanding of imaging equipment operation and radiation safety practices.

• Be willing to submit verification of licensure and certifications prior to start.
