Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced C++ Developer with strong expertise in modern C++ development, Linux systems, distributed messaging, and embedded communication technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on experience building and supporting production-grade software systems.
Job Title: C++ Developer
Location: Foster City, CA
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain high-quality software components using modern C++.
- Work on large-scale production codebases and contribute to backend and distributed systems.
- Develop and support publish/subscribe messaging infrastructure.
- Work with serialization technologies and data communication frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and develop technical solutions.
- Debug complex software issues and contribute to system reliability and performance improvements.
- Follow software development best practices, including version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Clearly communicate technical approaches, assumptions, and solutions during collaborative problem-solving discussions.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong expertise in modern C++ development on Linux systems.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Pub/Sub architecture, and topic partitioning.
- Hands-on experience with Protocol Buffers (Protobuf) and related serialization technologies.
- Experience with Data Distribution Service (DDS).
- Good understanding of embedded systems.
- Knowledge of communication protocols including Ethernet and CAN.
- Experience working with large-scale codebases and Git-based version control workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical decisions and approaches clearly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
