Store Manager Candidate

Role Overview: The Store Manager Candidate supports store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service, serving as a potential successor to the Store Manager. Key Responsibilities Assist with recruiting, hiring, and training staff. Participate in merchandising, stocking, and store presentation. Manage inventory, including damages, markdowns, and stock levels. Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and a secure environment. Support financial procedures such as cash handling, deposits, and cash register operations. Review sales and operational data to identify business trends and opportunities. Participate in opening and closing store activities, ensuring compliance with policies. Operate the store in the absence of the Store Manager and assist in maintaining store standards. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret manuals, safety rules, and procedures. Proficiency in math, cash handling, and inventory practices. Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to various situations. Bilingual skills may be preferred in some locations. Experience & Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; retail experience is advantageous. Physical & Working Conditions: Frequent walking, standing, bending, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, occasional climbing, and driving.
