Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Position Overview Provides direct nursing care in a fast-paced, team-oriented emergency department setting, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to deliver efficient and expert care for severe illnesses and injuries. Key Responsibilities Implement, monitor, and communicate patient care plans and conditions. Serve as primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care. Follow and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with healthcare team members. Qualifications And Skills Licensure as a Registered Nurse from the Alabama Board of Nursing. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications within specified timeframes. Minimum of one year of recent emergency department or ICU experience. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills for high-pressure environments. Work Environment 12-bed emergency department providing 24/7 care with access to onsite imaging, labs, and streamlined admissions.
